Re: no chance matey

There's a Nimbus on the Ouse and he's called it Cumulo. Geddit? Good name eh?

I hear yours might be for sale, is there a web site where I could see the details?

Re: no chance matey

Hi Colin - there's no 'might' about it

You can find Polar Bare listed at
http://www.jaykaymarine.co.uk/jaykaydetail.ASP?Boatcode=JAY0639

there are also some details not listed on this site - like the cockpit and screen covers were new 6 months ago and the hull has been 'Armaguard' (I think that's what it's called) treated which should protect it for 2 years it also has a PropProtector rope cutter and teak side decks and a new 4 speaker radio/cassette (FM/AM/LW) system.

Last full service was in November 2000 before winterisation and the hull was anti-fouled before relaunch in March 2001 - she is still in the water at Mercury Yacht Harbour on the Hamble which is paid up till end of March 2002.

Re: no chance matey

Nice boat. Why are you selling it thru this lot rather than the Nimbus dealer (Offshore Powerboats??)

we did originally

but after no contact from them for weeks even after phone calls/emails etc. we decided to branch out elsewhere - their stock answer whenever we mentioned it was "bring it round to Lymington and it'll sell straight away" - this didn't suit us as that's another hour or two each way from home and we wanted to be able to use it whilst it was for sale, they seemed to want it on the 'forecourt' so they didn't have to do anything for their 8%+vat except throw someone the keys and point out where it was in the car park (actually that's exactly how we got to see it!!)

Armoured hull

Trying to turn it into a battleship?? Up periscope, enemy 015 degrees port bow, 10,000 yards and closing. Fire all torpedoes. Dive! Dive! Dive!
