ACM Elite...

At the risk of losing my £5 bet with Dave, has anyone get any info they would want to share on the handleing charactisitcs and accomodation on an ACM Elite 9M, single Yanmar with a bow thruster. She is 4 years old and reported to be in good condition....

Nooooo, you want a Nimbus you do

actually, comparing the two the ACM is narrower and on having a look at one at Soton Show in 2000 I found a noticeable diff in the width in the saloon meaing you were always having to wait for one person to go past the saloon table before you could get through and in your case I'm not sure you could get by in one go! <BG>

PS : ACM is a full 9in narrower and you know what Heidi says about 9in !! ;-)

and the doggy hair provides for extra insulation on these cold winter nights although my Nimbus (did I mention it is for sale?) has CENTRAL HEATING as just one of the massive amount of kit on board.

but I never mentioned the price, only that it is a bargain which it is and the nearest we've had to a buyer went and bought a new (but smaller) boat as he was VAT reg and someone told him he could reclaim the VAT on the boat (bugger!)

Well two things really, actually three. The first is I don't know anything about the ACm but as soon as Kim's book arrives, I'll let you have the details.

Secondly whoever's posting as BarryD would he please stop. 'Cos we've already got a poster by that name but he's in self imposed exile for a week, 'cos he threw his teddies out of his car half waay up the M1. Or maybe he's decamped permanently and started his own forum along with Boatnuts.

And thirdly re posting ad's here for boats for sale. It's really not on chaps. It's against IPC's T's&C's. I mean my boat's up for sale too, a beautiful Fairline Mirage but I wouldn't even dream of mentioning it and what's more I won't tell anyone where to get the deatails. Even if you look in my personal profile I doubt if that would help you much.

If you want that sort of boat, much as it pains me to say it, you're probably better off looking at peterg's Nimbus despite the fact that he's been shamelessly plugging it on this esteemed forum. He's told me he'll knock off 20% for any forum member
