An unusual moody snap from the weekend I thought I'd share! Taken at dusk from a 19' Fletcher Arrowhawk at approx 35mph - hence the lack of sharp focus... :D The guy who owns the Arrowbolt is chuffed however and I was quite surprised to get the target in the frame at all.

Awesome picture! I bet it would look amazing if the front of the boat was sharpened up very slightly with photo editing software.

Very good Robin, presume that's in Torbay?

How did the w/e go, lots of sun but still a bit chilly in the Easterly breeze, hope that didn't stop you all having a great time. We saw Sheppy leaving the river, but that was it!

Thanks guys - it was a bit different! I have a few abstract images to post at some stage ;)

John, the weekend went really well thanks - if not to schedule! I had a few issues as a result of not getting a sea trial in beforehand, but all either resolved or in the process of! Everyone who travelled down had a fantastic time and can't wait for the next one... I won't spoil by posting loads of pictures as Nick Burnham joined us on Saturday and is doing a couple of features. The fleet did make Dartmouth and some great footage will follow - including a number of airborne boats! Salcombe didn't happen due to sea state, but we'll keep trying.

We had water in our main fuel tank which was apparent until launched and angle of tank changed! Having opted to run off a reserve tank, we didn't get far as prop bushing failed the hefty swell off Berry Head. Having been towed back in, I went home for another prop and swapped on the pontoon. The final issue after a night run across the Bay, was that the regulator is faulty and goes into an overcharge of 18V past 3000rpm :( That one scuppered our weekend as I didn't want to fry the electronics or risk a fire! I did however crew for much of the remainder of the weekend and took 1386 pictures - so an opportunity in disguise... New rectifier/regulator unit arrived today and new plastic tank, water separator and various fitments should be here for the weekend as I hadn't had time to do tank before the rally. Next planned outing is for the offshore racing at the end of May in Torbay, so time for some testing before then I hope!
