I have found the Absolute Tides app very useful during the last couple of years but cannot find this year’s version. Has anyone been able to update the app and if so, please provide guidance.

If you already have the app installed then click on the three dots at bottom right and select Downloads. You'll find the 2020 version there ready to buy.

Thanks G, however I see no dots so wonder if my screen is different? Are you using IOS or Android? I use an iPad. I can click on the year at the top and change it but only between the already downloaded years.

I also use Absolute Tides app, on Android, and have successfully downloaded the 2020 data. However, on my tablet screen the three dots are not at the bottom right, they are at the bottom just left of centre so may depend on device and screen size. Update: Just checked on my phone and on that the tide table is on a different screen to the graph screen. The graph screen does not show the three dots.

Sadly, on neither my phone nor iPad are any dots available!

I also use the app, when i opened it it said old data, and asked if I wanted to download the 2020 year data., which happened without fuss.

Am using Android. Used to have an iPad. IIRC you go to the App Store , input Absolute Tides and you are then given the option to buy the 2020 version.

If you already have Absolute Tides installed on your iPad I would suggest you delete it (by holding your finger on the icon and when it starts wiggling press the X in the corner). Then go in to the App Store and tap on the 'Purchased' button at the bottom. in the search box start typing Absolute Tides. When it shows up click on the little cloud with a down pointing arrow. AT will then install on your pad. Click on the icon to open the app and a screen will appear giving you the choice to download the previous year's data of purchase the 2020 data. You will then need to sign into your iTunes account to purchase. When the purchase is complete the 2020 data will be installed in the app.

BTW your iPad has to be running IOS 8.0 or later or the app won't work.

I have just downloaded Absolute Tides from Google Play.

The base system downloaded, and after installing itself, offered a few sets of data.

I chose UK and Eire for a smidgen under £3. Now downloaded and working fine.

I just have to check why it seems to have set up a Direct Debit though :(.
