Yesterday evening after a hard day concreting M. Claymore retired to the Fleetwood SC for a few beverages. Upon his return home he had a wider than usual stagger and ended up in the drive. Being a tight git he had economised on the solids (unusually) and sank in the now rapidly setting concrete. I know this cos he left me a voicemail describing the aforesaid course of events ... I think he had tried to dial 999 but had hit the last number redial first. I'm not sure what to do ... should I let his wife know first, inform the emergency services or nick his boat? What would you do?

If you planned it carefully enough, you could have his boat and his wife and his stock of whisky

delay ringing the fleetwood rnli ... all those iou's he's been giving them ... they'll want to cash them in

.... as your walking past him with your arms loaded with his whisky and his wife in tow, you better ask him if his boat has a holding tank.

Re: Fleetwood Mac

Reminds me of the lifeboat coxswain who would only go out in a sou'wester.
Wind from any other direction and you were stuffed.

Re: ra lament

The Fleetwood rnli were bereft
When their greatest benefactor
Did get lost up to his rectum
Whilst penning another dictum

Chorus:
Wi a rattle o’ their boxes
And a turd frae the cox’n
If it’s nae a sou-wester
We’re staying abed wi ester
