Good afternoon, Please note that the southbound A1 will be closed continuously ALL THIS WEEKEND between Alconbury and the A14 (Brampton Hut). The closure will take place from 9pm TONIGHT until 5am on Monday 22nd October, and is due to the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon upgrade works. The diversion will take traffic along the A14 Alconbury Spur to the Spittals Interchange (A14 J23) , then onto the westbound A14. This is likely to cause some delays, especially on Sunday afternoon & evening.

Please text future traffic updates directly to my mobile....:(

Anyways... if travelling south folks should stick to the right as late as possible and then merge in turn.

If you just stupidly go into the que on the left expect to encounter delays... but if you follow the hiway code... it’s fine.

Remember there are two lanes up the slip... and it’s entirely down to the stupidity of the HA that your down to one lane for all of 100 meters before the slip duals.
