It's been a while since I've posted but for anyone interested...we owned for 5 years (ish) a much loved & perfectly suited to us Sealine SC35 which happily took us wherever we wanted to go and we've had many a happy cruise on her as well as her being the perfect floating 'home away from home' at the weekends. However, a little over a year ago we moved house to be closer to the Hamble & The Solent where we do our boating so now, being just a 3 minute drive from the marina, we decided the sensible thing to do would be to sell Lisilou and downsize as our boating needs have changed quite dramatically.
It was a really tough decision to make & I really didn't want to let her go but we just don't need the space the 35 afforded us anymore and as Chris quite fancied a 'fisher type' boat, we bit the bullet and bought a MF 895 with a single 300 Yam OB. She was delivered end of January and yesterday, being the first decent day in what felt like forever, was our maiden trip.
In pretty much perfect conditions, we took her for a quick blast over to the IoW. I have to say...boy can she fly & was surprisingly smooth. We knew she could do around 35kts but I really wasn't expecting such ease of pace. The weight difference (perhaps unsurprisingly) really tells. 30knts without effort (and without me even noticing tbh!) and would happily have gone faster but I was more interested in getting the trim & balance right & just basically getting used to a different boat so I dropped her to around 26 where she seemed equally as happy until you hit a bit of ferry wash...then you realise the difference & very quickly learn to drive her a bit like a rib. No problem...just a case of adjusting accordingly.
Berthing is going to take a bit more practice tho' because on that score she is totally different. We knew it would be but any wind & tide and you know it. Practice, practice, practice.
With regard to the accommodation, it's ideal for our needs with two cabins, a toilet & shower facility downstairs with sink, twin gas hob, fridge & microwave up top.
We've had her spec'd to maximise comfort & useable space with 'U' seating in the exterior cockpit so we can adapt that area to a good sized sundpad if & when we want & the sunpad on the bow.
All in all, much more spacious than we expected and she'll do us perfectly. She's is ideal as a weekender altho' you could happily spend longer onboard as long as you stay organised.
Yet to name her but I think we'll stick with 'Lisilou' once we've decided (IF we ever decide!) where the name should go.
Anyway...that's my update now bring on summer! Happy boating all.

I’m glad you had a good run out. I also like the 895 (I saw one at the Paris boat show) but haven’t seen one on the water yet. Today was supposed to be a perfect boating day here but typically it was windy and choppy and only the yotties were out. Then I looked around the port and realized that the two 855 were gone, and that’s how it always is, they just want to be out on the water. I think that tells you a lot about the boats(and the people who buy them) and I bet the 895 is even more fun. All the best

Congrats on the new boat.
Funnily enough we may end up doing similar - sold our Broom 41 last year and have been mulling over what to do next, which is very likely to include going sailing. Been looking at smaller mobos as doing both is a consideration but made the mistake of looking over a Sealine S28 at the weekend.....

Congrats Lisilou.

I have sorta followed in your footsteps, only for me it is TWO years out and a change of boat.
I have just bought an MF755 from Burton Waterss, a very professional outfit and smart location. She comes with a Suzuki 150 and fly by wire controls. Her new home will be In Weymouth and i shall be renaming her “ Mister BIG “.
Do let me know if you will be visiting anytime.

Thanks all. Nice to be back afloat.

Dave (FP)...I'll post a pic or 2 when the sun comes out :D.

Beejay...I didn't know that. We got ours thru' BW as well. Always great service from them which is why we chose them again this time around. Interested to know how you get on berthing?

Hi Pete, thanks, I'm sure we will. BTW...I'll need some new letters soon.

Hi Lisa,

I just wanted you to know that we just bought a Sealine SC35 called Lisilou :) She was brought to Finland year ago and first owner here put her on sale during winter. We had earlier Bavaria 37 Sport but we wanted to have some change. SC35 has been always our dream boat and we were lucky that Lisilou was on market and we were able to make a deal with seller.

Now we have had Lisilou only two weeks and not a single trip yet made. I have only been trying to get familiar with her and all the mechanics. I am sure that we will have plenty of wonderful hours with her next summer and I can't wait to have first trip with her.

Hi.
Wow! I often wonder where she is now. I doubt there are many boats out there with that name so I'm hoping it's the same one. I'd love to see a photo if you're able to post one here?
She's a fantastic boat & I miss her hugely. She was great for us in every way and never gave us any problems whatsoever. If it is the same boat, I wish you every happiness aboard & as much enjoyment from her as we had and of course...if there's anything you'd like to know about her then please just ask.
Thanks so much for posting Maverick.

Hi Lisa,

Sorry, it's seems to be too complicated for newcomer to post photos here..

I am 99% sure that she is your former boat since I can see your and your husband names in maintenance invoices :) All the service records still exists in the boat.

And I can confirm that she is same boat than in this ad:
https://uk.youboat.com/buy/power-boats/sealine/sc35/111095
So if this is your former one then we have a match :)

I have learned quite much about the boat during two first weeks but yes, I have some questions.
- near radio there is small black box with red button. This is some remote but I can't figure for what.. Nothing seems to happen when pressing.
- did you had Raymarine wind vane installed? There is ST60+ wind instrument display installed but no wind sensor for that. Sensor might have been removed last summer (new Raymarine Axiom mfd and Quantum radar was installed at the time)?
- white tubes (2 pcs, ~1m length) in engine bay, has to be heaters but how those are operated? Didn't find any switch for those.

Hope you can help me.. ;)
