Seriously guys, isn't it just asking for trouble eating anything from a temporary hog roast stand? I mean, they're not renowned for culinary excellence or high levels of cleanliness. Half of my village got food poisoning after one of my neighbours had a hog roast party.

Well, I've had a few in my time, love the stuff, and never had a problem yet. I think any form of cuisine could give people trouble if the cooks are slack (admittedly veggy-only stuff less likely than meat, but by no means impossible). It sounds like this lot were carving off loads of meat at one go and then leaving it sitting around lukewarm - bad news whatever it is you're serving.

(This year I had lunch and a pint in the Platform Tavern before I went in )
