All of 25 days ago I agreed to meet young ChrisE and the delightful MrsE, along with some erstwhile forumites, for a Saturday lunchtime drink in Keyhaven. This drink was exceptionally cheap, in fact it was free 'cos only Chris was allowed to spend money over the bar - the bacon butties were excellent too.

But there is no such thing as a free lunch, its going to cost me a fortune from now on!

After we left, I went for a mooch around the area in the car as we have been thinking about moving to the area for some time.

Since then, we have found a house on which our offer has been accepted, put our current place on the market and have two cash buyers trying to pay over the guide price!!

So it looks like we will be on the move at the end of January (God willing, fair winds, subject to legals etc)!

The next challenge is to get a cheap mooring in Lymington. Will report back in about 7 years time on this !!

It's all your fault, Enstone !!

Ooh, bloody hell, not more comers-in to wreck our countryside idyll! Cheap mooring in Lymington, there's more chance of para buying a round.

Best of luck with the moves, when you are down here you can organise a reciprocal at The Town.

Why not moor in Keyhaven - peace and beauty with no B****y marinas and no queues to get in or out of the river. Great sailing Club and a boatyard on the quay.
What more could you want ?
Ken

Extremely, please don't come anywhere near, it's mine!

We are moored in Keyhaven River and carry 6' draft in and out at HW +-3 4 or 5 on neaps. Anchorage is limited but barring busy weekends during the summer you csn usually find a spot.

Nice to see that you've managed to get out of bed, Nick. Not too fussed about J, gnawing at the ankles is overcome by wearing the Dubarrys, so should be alright.
