A thought about my spare speedboat

I have an old Fletcher with a 75 hp merc on the back and while on holiday at the mo in Mallorca I am inspired rather than try and sell the boat to tow it to the med or nicer area than the UK and leave it there to use on cheap trips from the Uk

Has anyone on here got any ideas where such a boat which is a 16 footer could be stored on its trailer for a reasonable price near a slipway in say Spain or France. Would need to be driving distance from UK in say 2 days

There are loads of places that do this but on our recent trip we used a company called AGP near Bormes / Lavandou. Their yard is 5 minutes from a slipway.
They quoted me about £1000 to store my 25fter for a year.
For £350 extra they would include four launch and recoverys. Or you could do your self.
To find others try googling "gardiennage bateau" in the area of interest.

Have you considered the Algarve ?
The Clube Naval Olhão fits your requirementsand is 20 mins from Faro airport.
If you don't know the area google Ria Formosa and also Olhão.

That's a good call, as it's an easy drive through France, and there are nice anchorages on the islands just 5 miles away in quite protected waters, so ideal for a smaller boat. Port d'Hyeres may be an even better option, as the beautiful beaches and village of Porquerolles are even closer, or there are some small marinas at Le Pradeau and La Capte, though I know nothing about them, or whether they offer storage on a trailer.
