My guy's decided to ease his mind at moment - he's fitting the "beer rail" round the top deck and the steps to lower 2nd. Rail is wide (10") and 60cms high of deck. High enough to provide safe for kids, low enough to sit on ... wide enough for pints of beer !!

And this is what it's all about ... we added to the house a large balcony that looks down the garden and to the channel / river. It opens up from our main bedroom. We can then sit out with the most magnificent view ... with boats etc. all under our control and view. Obviously what you see here is closed / boarded to get through winter and now that weather is improving - we hope to get back onto that ...

really nice job good to see where you are, had visions of you working in some sort of endless night up to eye balls in snow,cheered me up thanks.

Days are drawing out and we are starting toi have reasonable daytime temps.

Waters still darn cold though !

Our next project is to see how much of the house 'us 2' can do without calling in builders. The serious construction stuff was done last year. So now it's internal finishing with gyps boards, floors to level etc.

So today the fixed jetty part was completed apart from cosmetics like flags etc.
Lady Lou - my weekender was brought alongside to provide a work-platform .....

Of course there had to be spectators ...

So now it's sort drums and floating pontoon section to go in, derrick and flag poles !
