No apologies as I will post this on the wooden boat forum as well. I have no financial interest in this, but this is someone most of us old forumites know...

I bet it wont take long for a lot of you to guess who.

Finding Your Fairey

Here is someone that lives & breaths boats, been around the water all his life and unlike so many brokers he bloody knows what he is talking about!!

No chinos and mirrored aviators for him... in fact as such he will most likely crash and burn trying to sell you a modern sports boat.. but that's not him.

You have a classic to sell, or a sturdy seaman like vessel, this is who to put it with. You want to find a good boat, something that is a bit special this is your man.

I for one wish him all the very best.

I know what you mean... ! think its been updated. Nothing else on the water looks as 80's sexy as this!

and they are starting to rebuild them... a new one is monster money so this really is a bargain.

When I lived in Cowes, there was one there and always admired it....especially the backend!

I do not understand people selling stuff on the Internet who do not advertise prices plainly! I would never buy a boat whose price has not been fairly advertised and published.. Maybe the prices are all shown and my browser is hiding them?

I totally understand why, and have purchased vehicles listed POA. But in this case maybe your browser? as only two boats listed with Contact us, others all with prices. Spitfire £99950, Tireur £59500, Dawn Patrol £60000 etc, etc..

I do too and it looks a very reasonable price for such a nice boat

Likewise good luck to Ben

Strangely.....there was one for sale for ages a few years back.

from memory.....less than the spitfire too. I’m sure the price ended up in the £70k’s. Form over function I guess (like Itama ??)

One day ?

So they are selling boats without advertising the price?

I think whatever boat buying experience you have is rather different to someone interested in a purchase of a 50 year old classic wooden power boat, they are not expecting a “buy it now” Button on a website and will be more than willing and wanting to speak to someone from the off.

As an impressionable youngster I was obsessed with power boats. Perhaps my true colours shining through now. It's great to see enthusiasts supporting heritage boating, power or sail, and I'd like to add my best wishes for the success of this.

This film was the soundtrack to those years; I was amazed to see some of these very boats in Cowes haven last summer for the CTC.
Ride the White Horses

BBC2 colour test film I think.

Good luck Ben.
Website not working at all on my phone. Half the first page only.
You don’t need a retro website!
