At the moment I have an ageing but recently re-built BMC 1500 diesel engine. If I were to fit a Ford 1800 diesel would it be possible to mate the excisting gearbox to it? Bit of a technical question I know but I just thought I'd try my luck.

Phone Lancing marine with the details of the box. If its suitable for the engine they can probably supply an adaptor plate and the bits to go with it.

Visited their website and found that they do adaptors. Just got to find out what box I've got.
