Re: Why has Kim edited your link

Is it because AOL / Time Warner / IPC are in league with GW??.. do they have oil interests too..? I thought it was just GW's lakeys in the White House that had interests in oil?

Re: Vocis Populari

I am fairly heartily sick of random TV interviews with the great unwashed, who say that really , you know, they didn't want the war, but will back TB. Then the interview chap turns to ehe camera and says something such as "And most of our interviewees went on to say that if there is going to be a war, they want it to be short and kill as few ciovilians as possible" Most, eh? So, can we see some off-the-wall interviews with nutters or body-bag manufacturers who want the war to be long and drawn out with lots and lot of casualties?

I'm ashamed of democracy in the UK. Vast majority of the population against this internationally illegal war but its still supported by our parliament .. send these tossers out to fight if they want it so much! We should be supporting the UN not undermining it.

Re: what a t****r

It's these types, and their well meaning but rather eccentric antics, that give the politicians the opportunity to 'Poo Hoo' protests. Even so, when over a million "ordinary" types marched in protest a short while ago, it did'nt make one jot of a difference to our "gung ho" Prime Minister. Someone should give him a rifle and send him to Baghdad with a large target pinned to his chest. Sadly, no doubt it will all be forgotten by the next general election, and we'll see the cretin back for another term. Seeing the performance of the "opposition" in recent weeks, that is, I fear, a foregone conclusion.

Re: what a t****r

Seing TB spreading the Bush gospel in the world always make me think of the HMV logopicture. Just make the little doggy a bulldog and put a "made in the US" sticker on the player. It is also easy (or impossible not) to imagine there being a self repeating record saying .... well, you get the picture.

I just can't take the man seriously anymore. At least, with Osama Bin-L it was possible to understand why he was doing it (which is not to say agreeing with it). Bush, I really haven't got a clue what he's up to even when mindlessly repeted by the little doggy in a more educated language. To make this more boaty, does Iraq have a nice little navy so that we can get to see some entertaining naval battles?

Have I annoyed anyone yet?

Back the UN, not undermine it.

Exactly - but it would help if the UN was more decisive and avoided endless procrastination creating the opportunity and environment where people/countries feel they can ignore the UN. But if it did that it would be the first committee in the world which did.

Support the troops.

Now that the Government, and Parliament by a large majority, has decided to go to war, I believe we should, at least for the time being, unite behind them if only for the sake of our troops in the desert.

They are going to have to fight whether you like it or not. If they feel they have the support of the 'folks back home' it might give them the morale boost to get the job done quickly and cleanly.

There could be little more damaging to them than to feel that they do not have the support of the majoity of Britons - which I believe they do.

Re: Why has Kim edited your link

With boating season coming up, I will recommend the game "Illuminati" for those rainy days when the family refuses to come out and sail. Due to it's small format, it is excellent for a small sailing boat without a proper library. Incidentally, it will also provide an extensive insight into the hidden relationships between Kim, the IPC and the republican party and explain in detail how they work with the Gnomes of Zurich and the UFOs in order to gain control of the Suffragettes and the Iraqi Baath party.

It was produced by Steve Jackson Games. It is paranoid and very funny.

Re: Support the troops.

James, I hate to disagree with you but the opinion polls do'nt confirm your opinion.
I support the individuals obeying orders but I cannot in all conciousness support a war which is illegal under international law and being pursued outwith the ambit of the UN albeit allegedly supported by a UN resolution. This war has nothing to do with terrorism and has everything to do with securing oil supplies for the US. I am deeply sorry, but this is one occasion I am genuinely ashamed of being British. I do really feel that the world is now a much more dangerous place. Any state can now attack any other and quote this as justification.
I do hope it is over and done with quickly but something tells me it could turn into a really nasty affair.

Anyway thats my pennyworth and I'll shut up now before I get hung for treason.

Quot homines, tot sententiae

When the dice are rolled we can all add up ... and that's the nature of our British democracy.

IMO, no matter what any of us think, the dice have been rolled, the House of Commons has voted twice and now it's up to all of us to support all of those who are going in on our behalf of the original meaning of 'security' as displayed as a fresco on the wall of the Palazzo Pubblico in Sienna ... viz the dexter fresco as opposed to sinister fresco.

Whether it's right or wrong only time will tell - But now it's divided the world and at a more local level it's divided even friends.

.... I'm copping out. I'm going sailing tomorrow with no radio to hear the winds (if any in the rigging), the song of the dolphins and the seagulls cry ....

No I haven't. Didn't even know they existed. If I can only find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, I will buy a boat and pop off on a 10year cruise and read these books.

Did read som excerpts from a website just now. Seems like the game is better.
