Unfortunately I cant make the Shotley bash, and given the weather forecast, dip my veritable cap to all those that do, and then take a freshening saill tomorrow.

In any case, and whatever you get up to tonight to welcome in the new year, A Very Happy New Year to all East Coasters, and of course those from further afield.

I have set the fat broomstick atop the Chevrolet, and will set the Gallants and Royals on my land yacht Chevrolet for the journey up North to Shotley.
That should aid both speed and economy.

Happy New Year everyone, and a broad reach for 2009.

I shall be having a first and enjoying the New Year on board, which means I start 2009 boating /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Happy New Year to all and may we all have a season to enjoy.
And a big thanks to those that have helped during a pretty crap year.

Happy New Year Alan and to everybody else.

I am hoping for a little sail tomorrow - if the engine will cooperate (who needs an engine with no glowplugs in this weather!)

At least 2009 stands a very good chance of being better for sailing than 2008 - it couldn't be worse (surely).

Happy New Year everyone, let's hope for an idyllic summer of sailing!!
Got no need to worry about which party we go to this evening....got the flu /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Still, an excuse to tackle the Scotch... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Happy New Year everyone!

As I am still recovering from womanflu I won't be joining in any festivities this evening either. But there's still plenty of booze and food in the house and the telly looks better than usual.

So I shall raise a glass at the sound of Big Ben and wish for many things: fair winds and sunny skies, obviously; continued good health, clearly; and please, pretty please, just enough work to keep me solvent during 2009 otherwise everything will become very complicated indeed and it doesn't bear thinking about. Thank you.

It is a well known fact that man flu is far worse than lady flu, but as both of us have had it over the entire xmas period I don't think there's a lot in it.

Happy New Year to all, may 2009 be exactly what we want it to be, with all the wind in the right direction, and not too much of it if you please. See you all out there sometime soon.

Just to add our Best Wishes for a great 2009.
Having proved to ourselves that our 'baby' will sail (rather than just motorsail), we want to go and do more of that.
Cheers
D

A Happy New year to you Alan and to all the East Coast forumites.

Let us all hope that 2009 is a better year than 2008.
Cheers to you all /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Happy new year to all, the varnish fumes in the extension are ensuring I leave 2008 on a high. Off to the club to see in the new, somewhat concerned as the flyer states commodores party till 13:00!

The wish for all is health and happiness, the boat takes care of the wealth bit.
Cheers hic! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Happy new year to all, and thanks to all those who made Joy and I welcome on this forum, and on the ECF jaunts that we managed to get to. Looking forward to more of the same next year, tho' whether it'll be on Limbo, or something else remains to be seen.

Unfortunately I'm once again on standby for call-out, so no beer for this callsign. I imagine Alan will have my beer, or Jim, or Doug, or Neil, or Will, or Clive, or Dave, or....... anyone else who knows me /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

First to plead guilty ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Lookin forard to our next meet buddy, may all your troubles be little ones, and not on two feet /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
