I helped the happy new owner last weekend with the delivery of his new power boat!

The Sealine 410 has a great reputation for seakeeping and it was certainly a test as we rounded the Lizard and Lands End. Northerly winds on the Sunday were quite gusty and there was quite a bit of swell... She took it all in her stride. It was too wet to stay on the flybridge so we rapidly migrated to the inside helm position!

The sea soon flattened out again as we headed NE to Swansea. A great boat!

I hope you enjoy the film.

Berth on finally sold it did they.

Would love to know what price they got for it in the end

Edit: filling up on commercial rate? Bit naughty...

jez give the guy a break he must be so exited and looks a great boat and a fare journey to undertake ,price is so diverse i spent to much for my boat i was told but have only spent on maintenance in 4 years so has more than evened out ant the guy will have the sme i hope good luch and enjoy

A great first run to give it the once over. Looked a clean boat from the video.

I bet everyone felt a real sense of achievement arriving at the new home port.

Very effective video as ever :)

Henry :)

At Berthons, the displayed pump price is the base rate without any duty.
You declare the rate, and they whack it on top.

No reason not to fill up with no duty at this time of year, I've used quite a few gallons this winter heating my boat as I live on it 3 nights a week, after listening to the RYA there is no reason not to replenish my tanks next fill at zero rate. Boats not been off its mooring since last fill up last October.

Except that they videoed going straight off on a delivery trip, videod it and stuck it on the web.
Bit hard to claim it was being burnt in the ebersplutter

I'm all for being economical with the rules when it comes to absurd levels of tax on fuel but that's a little blatant. Though I'm pretty sure hmrc don't monitor it so likely there will be no problem. I'm not sure I'd advertise my tax evasion though...

>>Sorry, a break on what?

On the displayed pump price isn't what is paid if you fill up at Berthon ?
(Unless you declare 100% Ebersplutter)

what i was saying was u are saying like wow they have sold it at last and suggesting he may have over paid ,will make him feel worried thats all

I should clarify, nothing wrong with the boat that I am aware of.
More to do with berthon:- advertised at €99k, then oh sorry it £99k then sent details of wrong boat. Then said'oops thats ex vat' but maybe we can do a deal at £110k.

Unusual for such a respected broker to makes such a pigs ear of it. I wondered about price because I made an offer on the boat last year.

No where did I suggest anyone had over or under paid.

It's a Sealine - nothing to get excited about...

<low growling sound>

It's somebody's "new to them" pride and joy, so it is something to be excited about.
I'm quite surprised that such an inoffensive delivery video has triggered negative comments!
Not much point posting new boat threads if everyone just puts the boot in.

Then agan, this the same person that said:
"I only have experience of a Sealine S23 and an S28 but they both bobbed around like corks with no seakeeping abilities whatsoever"...

Maybe my S28 was built differently: probably not, though :)
(S28 with no seakeeping abilities that has been to Netherlands, Normandy, West Country, Paris, Channel Islands, and Newtown Creek)

.

Congratulations to the new owner, nice boat and glad she ran well upon taking delivery, and many thanks Halcyon for making and posting up the vid, well made and a great watch, reminded me a bit of John Boyles' series.

What a great first trip as a delivery for the owner, exciting enough buying a new boat but even more so with that journey ahead.

Thanks and best of luck with her.
