A Fire @ the Ramsholt Arms

4 crews - ouch. At least it's the quiet season but doesn't bode well for it being open spring this year.

Is it my bizzare sense of humour or did anyone else think Sailorman was an arsonist.....

65-67, a standard Sunday jaunt, when the tide and weather served, was to sail the Enterprise down to the Ferry, over the bar and offer bathers at the beach a ride up and down for sixpence a go. Usually made enough to fund fish and chip lunch at the Ferry and a pint each at the R. Arms on the way back upriver - they never worried about our damp clothing or being under age. On a good day, we could also afford a pint off Albert in the Maybush after putting the boat to bed at Waldringfield, before hitching a ride back into Ipswich. Those summers semed endless bliss.
