It was terrible out there today.

I had to battle my way though the chaos that was Chichester Harbour.

I thought about invading Queen Victoria's beach, but thought again - the buoys and the cannons are enough to scare off all but the most determined mariner. In fact, the buoys are quite close in to the beach, so no real need to anchor in there unless it's high tide and you want to taunt the grockles.

The birds seemed unpeturbed by the regular "thumps" coming from the firing range, which was active. I went down to the end in the tender, and made a hasty retreat when I saw them "tooling up".

I'm not sure what this is, but it was very pleasing on the eyes.

Flower Power seemed to be enjoying the sunshine, too.

Some boats just look, "right", don't they?

Makes my plastic tub look somewhat plastic by comparison.
I used the iCloud app on the ipad to make sure that it drifted off somewhere else.

This chap spent ages drying out his wings, or maybe just warming up a little.

Fantastic pics David. We had visitors, so had to miss another weekend when we could have been winter boating in Chichester harbour.. That is, if I hadn't managed to create 3 new faults on our boat whilst rectifiing 1.

Great pics FP, looks like you had a really nice weekend. Nothing wrong with your Sealine, she looks quite "right" to me.

Good choice of camera kit too.

I spent the day on the wrong end of sponges and polishing cloths, giving Raf a good tidy up.

Fab pics, we were anchored outside in DK II and saw the Huntsman leave, she sounded lovely as she powered up.

It was a really delightful day to be boating in te Solent, the reason to stay afloat through the winter!

RE 'Thumps' - reminds me coming across Castle Martin Range with the wrong skipper 2yrs ago and being reminded by the 'massive' rib/control 'boys' coming across... that was after 10years of being previously reminded. Very nice boys/directing etc TBH and reminded us of who should be 1IC.

Hi David,
Nice post and pics, I was out yesterday ended up in Cowes, dead flat, even there and the strangest thing was the warmth in the sun...

I heard myself saying, "It's just like summer only warmer!" ;)

Flower Power still looking great, well done.
