Funny how you notice things....You just reminded me to check the "New" Aldi, we've got the same one..now at 31 quid it should be about 33 euros...oh no, 50...sort of brings home exchange rates and how it effects businesses...sorry for the slight thread drift.

I admit it, I was in Aldi at Lunchtime buying a leccy pump for my inflatable.

Whilst I was there I saw a monocular device called a 'Golf Scope' which apparently accurately judges the distance to the next pin...and I wondered if such a device would have any uses on the water, or even work at all.

The Aldi device will enable you to measure the distance from your boat to the nearest golf pin. Things of other height might then give different answers.
