A couple of clips from the sunny Med

That looks stunning. We were going to spend our very recent three week holiday in Sardinia but went to Spain instead. I wish we hadn't.

Looks like a perfect place for boating.

Indeed. And both the above bays are great for snorkeling, too.
It's very easy to find sea urchins or clams for an excellent pasta.
And with some practice, also octopuses and other very tasty fishes!

Nice vids. MM. The ship looked very 'official' displaying the flags :-).

I recognised the old tower in the second vid. from the still shots you posted recently from the bay on the south-east coast of the island.
The days looked perfect, what sort of air and sea temperatures are current?

Lovely and tranquil!

I took my mum out for a spin last Sunday and we had very similar weather, not a ripple on the sea.
The last time she was out on our boat was 20 years ago on a cold wet day on the Thames Estuary. Funilly enough she said she prefered boating on the Med....

Can't think why  ;)

LOL, yeah, there was the so called "Girotonno" (www.girotonno.org - sorry, but they must have had a reduced budget this year, because they didn't make the english version as in 2009). And in those days, even the local ferries displayed the flags, so I had to comply... :)
Yep, the tower is the same. I couldn't post the clip at that time due to the slowish line.
Water typically is not yet very warm in June around there, 19/20°.
Air is much more comfortable, 25°+...
...with the sun strong enough to make walking barefoot on the teak deck a challenge, in the central hours of the day!

Nice movies MapisM, very professional! Beautiful calas; I have noted the names for future reference. What do your flags actually say?

Professional? You're pulling my leg J, aren't you? :)
They were taken with a Nokia 5800... You can actually see the "jumps" in the exposure due to the very poor automatic adjustment of the mobile phone. The music was added afterwards with a plain vanilla Windows Movie Maker.

LOL, well spot re.the flags! Yup, they're randomly arranged I'm afraid.
Obviously the producers of these "gran pavese" things (what's the English for that?) don't have a naval academy background... :D
Hopefully I'll be forgiven for not arranging a proper one myself!

PS: just in case you'd really like to see these spots, below are the coordinates of the two places respectively, ready to feed your plotter.
N 39 09.950 / E 8 14.400
N 38 58.000 / E 8 26.500
But mind, you'd better avoid the first one with northern or western winds.
It's very near the coast where I took this other clip last year in a day of strong Mistral, if you see what I mean...
For the second, it's exactly the opposite: very exposed to southern winds.
