A close call

Picture the scene.

Boat due to be launched today and I get a call from the yard - " Morning, just wanted to confirm that everything still ok and you want your launch"

Me - " Yes please, Assuming you did put the propeller back on after the work you did? ha ha ha" ( Having paid the invoice that specifically mentions " And replace propller")

them - " Oh yes of course, ha ha ha "

Twenty minutes later.

Them "Exactly where was this propeller??"

Not sure what I'll find when I go down tomorrow!!

Did they take it off, or did you? If it's them, they might just owe you a new one.

I had taken it off and left it in the cabin, in a box at the foot of the companionway. It was pretty hard to miss!

I assume they have fitted it. The boat goes forward when In forward and astern when in reverse. I’m not ruling out magic juju at this stage but my money is on the propeller being where it should.
