OG what are the purple gowns for?
Enjoyed the pics, have you had a good first season? Hope the change in boats proved worthwhile. She looks good, quite a change from the Princess.

The beating of the bounds aka Admiral of the River Cruise in a joint bash between our club and the Rochester Oyster Floating Fishery who are freeman of the River Medway.(We have a mention in the Domesday Book). The chaps in the furry hats and robes are guests from the ancient Southwark fishery and we "entertain" them every year with liquid refreshment and a fish feast laid on by the fishery boys and lady.
ROFF have been around for about 550 odd years and have been looking after the fishery by royal permission since then.Few years ago they went into bat against Southern Water who after privatisation thought they had aquired the right to sell fishing licences to all and sundry.
It took ten years and went to the House of Lords and they (Southen Water ) lost.
A Royal Charter cannot be set aside other than by royal assent ???

Yeh, that's what we like, piccies an stuff
Must learn it one day:)
Nice
oldgit!

Thank you gentlemen .
Been a pretty good year apart from a bit of a hammering on way back from Ramsgate, which probably caused all the muck on the bottom of the tank to make its way into the primary filters which resulted in an "interesting silence" from one of the engines and a reluctance for the other one to rev over 1500 rpm.
It was a slow journey back with much muttering from crew.

"Anything different planned for next year ?"

Peut-être un peu plus loin cette année

If this is anything rude, blame Google translator not me !:)

There is a guy interested, he's looked at it three times now including a sea trial, but went away last weekend saying that he is looking at other boats now.
One guy after breaking the table said the berths weren't long enough, another had a look over it and said it was too slow, even though I'd already told him all the details and another didn't want an aft cabin even though I'd sent him loads of photos!
Here's a couple of pics from our upper reaches of the Medway trip with you Fred.

Actually we are two.

Your new boat looks good OG, I like the cockpit hardtop and that serious looking flared bow.
Nice lot of photo's, cheers.

There is another Transocean 36 and its in Australia.
Did a Google and it turned up on a brokers website.
TA.jpg

Possibly in Adelaide.
This one may be the actual boat featured in the 1972 Boat Show at Earls Court.
There are a couple of other versions with aft cabin here in UK.Basically you bought your hull and the rest was your problem.
A very common solution to buying a boat in the 1970s unlike today where you may get a choice regards colour of light furnishings and thats your lot mate :)

Nearly forgot Ramsgate

Do you mean there are only two aft cockpit boats, factory fitted OG?

You could nearly call her a "clipper bow".
