Could you be more specificOne of the Torran Rocks?
Could you be more specific?
You are both in the right part of the country but this is a very particular rock.
All my own work!
By "right part of the country" do you mean it is in the West Coast of Scotland, or off the Ross of Mull? Has somebody famous run aground on it; or set foot on it?

Ah, that must make it Dubh Sgeir then?![]()
There are many of that name and as the photograph shows this is more of a Liath than a Dubh. It doesn't have a formal name but is extremely well known.
My comment was agree with A1Sailor, need more clues. I can think of any number of rocks that look like the one in the photo in the region MoK to Ardnamurchan! With, or without, seagulls.......![]()
One of the Torran Rocks?
EDIT:OK, it's not one of the Torran Rocks but it's very close and I believe part of the same geological structure.
Well if I were to respond to that with any kind of warmer/cooler type feedback the cat would truly be out of the bag. Rather, the Tinker would be out of his/her Hole. 'Tis the notorious rock at the S end of Eilean Dubh that on has to be sure to avoid when entering Tinker's Hole. It was very foggy.Rankin's
