A thing to note with the Lidl pump is that it has a 10A inline fuse concealed by heat shrunk in the pump body.
I have one of these .......

Seems fine - not super fast but does the job - seems well made
Contaminated bilge water with oil, it also had some disintegrated tissue mixed in!I'm intrigued as to what you were pumping that might cause the motor to overload and blow the fuse?
Richard
You can see the pump I use to drain both the engine sump and the gearbox oil next to the oil pressure gauge into a handy empty can for disposal.
I got mine from ASPS and is plumbed into the drain plugs of the engine and gearbox via a 2 way selection valve

I am an ex Lidl pump owner
I destroyed it this year trying to pump Rydlyme around the engine.
Sir,Errrrrr ..... since these pumps specify that they cannot be used for pumping water, I am at a loss to understand why anyone can complain orif the instructions are ignored.
Richard
I've got one spare if anyone wants it.
I have not complained - it was entirely my fault that the pump was wrecked
M.
Although before anyone begins to panic, Rydlyme is perfectly safe with aluminium and its alloys as present in many systems which are present in watercooled environments. At 50% dilution it is safe in all environments.
