Going to have a look at this boat in Galicia at 8000 euros it’s half the price of the other one in Galicia but it has an outboard engine. It comes with a sprayhood, autohelm, septic tank ,dinghy furling gear etc and solar panel and large battery. If it all works and is in good order it’s a good buy in relation to other boats on the market in Galicia.A bonus will be if it’s berth is for rent and the facilities in the marina suit the wife. This going to be a two visit job as not much time just enough to see if it’s what we want and the engine runs maybe a stamp around the deck and pull on the handrails

Bit of a disappointment the boat was not presented very well i fact a complete mess and although the owner admitted to being a naval perito a kind of surveyor it all looked like any work he had done was a bit of a bodge.I asked to see the bilge and tasted the water which was salty, that and a hashed up float switch to a bilge pump pointed to a quite serious leak .The engine had been removed but the shaft and prop remained again the whole engine area was a complete mess .I saidwewouldthink about it …….to just make our day what was once a little fishing village managed to look likeHounslow on sea???

Cheap boats are cheap for a reason. Ours had a list of serious faults when we bought her, but all with bits that are bolted or pinned
on, so straightforward to rectify. Sounds like a good move to walk away from that one.
