Yes. Fixed and 'sea trials' [fwd/astern in the marina 100 times and a run up and down the straits] proved correct - partially watched on webcam, not a pleasurable experience.

Have been told [over the phone] the fault, but am waiting on the photos [and bill!]. Long and short of it, the connection in the leg where the cable attaches snapped, reason why - don't know. The engineer said he hadn't seen or heard of it before. Everything else was ok.

Yes, there will be a bit of anxiety! But first trip out we wont go far and ensure we are content ourselves.

I met Simon today he was tarmacing a mates drive , he is good i mentioned that he said he had never seen that fault on a mercury , and he said no , but it was the first job he had done on a boat quote youtube is amazing.
