Hi, all. Looking for some advice, please.

We'll be out on the River from the middle of next week but need to get back home for a day for a funeral :( . Where can we moor for 48 hours that is near to the railway (Reading to Guildford line). we'll need to be away from the boat for a whole day but expect to return in the evening. Don't fancy leaving the boat unattended in Reading (unless you advise me differently). What about the Pangbourne stretch? Are there good moorings at any of the locks which we could book ahead? Or a marina where we could park a 40 ft barge?

Any help much appreciated.
David

I'll second T&K: you'll also find they're extremely helpful and the marina is completely secure. I moor there: if you need to use me as an emergency contact just PM me for my mobile number.

Thanks, Watson, for the info and the offer. Don't think I'll need to but if anything comes up I'll PM you.

Sorry, Eddy & Byron. Somehow missed your posts yesterday. That's the kind of thing I was looking for. Thanks. D

Been on the East Coast last few weekends, but went over Goring Bridge to pick up some new fenders from Sheridan Marine this morning; EA moorings at Goring only 25% full & the Thames did look lovely today.
