Should ther e be space aboard for the odd bottle or dozen of the finest liquid i am quite sure that several here abouts will assist in dispersal
 
Since the little one arrived 2 years ago we've limited ourselves to days sails. But this looks like the perfect opportunity to have a proper jaunt. Some basics to keep our nerves intact:

What's the holding like? - I'm crap at anchoring
Suitable for a 2 year old?
What's the estimated distance from Woodbridge Haven?
Dog OK? - he'll go mental if he misses this!

thats a 2 year old in the pic of mine. perfect.
There are mooring buoys close by, but the holding can be good.
there is a flat shelf of sand you can sit on if you are a cat.
Pooches always welcome, well behaved ones anyway.

If you can sit on the bottom, do a Sirenia and run up onto the mud/sand, the others are anchored

Thanks, found it on Google Earth. That picture looks geat for the twin hulls - we're not so much minimum boat as minimum anchoring! Handy to be easily accesible with the toddler. And an opportunity to scrub...


And I'll bring the banjo. Mind you, if you promise to hep with the scrub, I'll promise not to bring the banjo /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
Long John Silver and his merry band of pirates (from Brentwood, partner plus a 6 and a 4 yr old), do not have their own boat. Are we still able to attend or must we walk the gangplank?!
 
Exactly what BastonJock did too. Not sure I'll make it on Sixpence because of the distance, but my theory would be to drop one anchor astern before running up the beach. Make sure that's dug in then go aground and set another anchor off the bow up the beach. Theory being as the tide comes in when I'm ready to leave, I can have the bow anchor aboard and pull clear as soon as there's enough water to move. Saves being bounced around on the sand if it's a bit lumpy.
If my theory is naff I'm sure someone will say
 
On that one I have no idea, the area is some kind of conservation zone I think, but I don't remember anything saying that camping wasn't allowed. Could be useful if the wind is blowing the sand around again too.
 
Sounds like fun, and the black flag needs an airing, after being told off for flying it by French customs officers.

We have a couple of 11 year olds (girls) any others of a similar age coming?
