Sounds like fun, and the black flag needs an airing, after being told off for flying it by French customs officers.

We have a couple of 11 year olds (girls) any others of a similar age coming?

[/ QUOTE ]Yep... we'll have a 10yr old (boy) and 13yr old (girl).... several others of similar age attending.... if its like previous years, expect around 15 kids in attendance as a minimum.... we'll also make sure they are entertained... previously we've had treasure hunts, and pirate olympics, including sack races, egg and spoon, skittles and sand castle building competitions......

They'll go to bed tired.... its a promise!

dont know if i can make it at present, but will try.

for those not wishing to anchor, there were quite a few moorings going spare a few hundred yards away

The crew (and associated Dutch pirates) of Santana deeply regret that they cannot be there, unless the weather scuppers plans to be on holiday in the north of Holland then.

Very jealous - I know it'll be a fantastic weekend.

The Chellers contingent (2) intend to be there. Boat may or may not be in the water at that point (depends how much of a job we find doing the antifouling after two years) but we will bring the dinghy if the boat is high and dry.

Wow, that's an impressive turn out. Sounds as if the anchorage may be fun!!

A chance to compare tackle and practice all manner of esoteric (piratical) anchoring techniques.

I think that I have the remains of a pirate rum collection, and a few rum punch recipes that grown up pirates may find assist in the development of an appropriate seamanlike attitude.

Oh dear, did nobody mention this is an alcohol free event ? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

spooky. Ours from the same jonnies arrived today. Worked out plan, night at ramsholt to get over the bar at the right time. Two nights away with a two year old - lets hope those pirate games tire her out!

I was marooned on a sand dune last year until the good pirate moodysabre came to the rescue to a tent will be positively luxurious.

You have heard this from others - you remembered nothing until Patrick woke you up with a gas foghorn /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
You arose blearily saying 'how did I get here' /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
