Have a great time at that Roger, they were removing the pontoons as we arrived on friday and the interesting boats were starting to arrive. Thanks for your advice re. route, it is a very similar route to ours but great to have that reinforced. When are you leaving? We had an extremely bouncy sail over with 3 reefs in the main , safely tied up in 14 hours which is ok, we even had a lovely moment crossing the north bound lanes where a tanker obviously changed course for us, which was great ang got a vhf thankyou, left sunday am to very little wind and sadly had to motorsail back on a glassy sea, this did allow me to retire to the foredeck and read Guy Martins autobiography, even saw 3 x harbour porpoise ( at least I think they were-def. quite big with a dorsal fin breaking the water). I too love those little beers, we usually while away an afternoon in the cafes in the main square, it can get a bit messy at 8%.............anyway, safe journey and have a lovely time.

We are x ing Thursday, normally @ Landguard around 07.00 hrs. It looks like the iron torp-sl will be utilised. Back Sunday in a Nor Easter by the look of it, often a sparkling & quick sail in a NE breeze.
We are hoping 5 > 7 boats from the marina & no other ECF boats apart from 2 of us from the marina, Micheal_w went over on Sunday to The Roompot, then Goes last night.

Have a great time and a smooth crossing there and back. Sorry we won't be with you. Have managed to cross the Wash this year and are currently in Hull Marina. Hope to continue North on Friday.
