Anyone know where I can get a plug in mains adapter giving 28V DC 400mA (or more) please?
I just can't find that voltage!
It's for a Dyson (used for cleaning the boat :) ) an OEM one is of course pricey and includes the charging base.

Maybe look at adapters intended for laptops? It's the only thing I can think of that might operate at that kind of voltage.

OEM is £25, will an aftermarket one be any cheaper?

But you want 28v. Which Dyson? My charger says output 24.35v or 16.5v for all handheld, except DC16 range which is 21.5v.

DC16. The battery is 21.6V - 6 lithium cells - but the wall charger feeds 28v to the unit. Max charge voltage is probably 25.2, may be habit less. What does the 24.35 figure relate to?
I can get a 24v or 30v cheaply but nobody does 28!

24.35v 348mA is given as output on bottom of charger. Charger for DC16 is different on Dyson site.

DC34 battery i 6 cell and says 22.2v 1300mAh 30Wh

My original battery says 21.6v 1100mAh new one not real Dyson says 22.2V 1400mAh.
On normally accepted figures 24.35V would only give 85% state of charge but longer life. Full charge needs 25.2V.
Maybe I can use 24V getting about 80%.
