20th October - Laying Down Supper

Re: Buggeer - Colne have another function! Suggestions please?

HW Bradwell 20th October is 1935 so not ideal for arriving HW'ish at Tollesbury or Heybridge (sunset 1753).

At Bradwell we would need to get The Green Man to set aside the restaurant or warn the marina bar to get a bulk order in from Brake Bros! To be fair, Mick at the marina bar gets in excellent local steak for his BBQs.

Francis,
thats where we went last year - the Coast Inn. Did us proud.

I have no objection to returning there.

I had a RNSA function at the Green Man in Bradwell at beginning of Sept and they gave us the 'Family Room'.

34 sat down and Phil the Manager / Owner & team did a great job. Lots of choice and good prices too.

Normally a guest beer as well as IPA / Adnams. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I will now start another thread with menus....and accommodation for those that need it.

Apologies for my ignorance - I'll have to give it try some time. Bill

"Normally a guest beer as well as IPA / Adnams."

On and off over last year (on last Saturday) The Green Man has had "Pucks Folly" by Farmers Ales at Maldon. Similar to Maldon Gold, really delicious beer.

Youve missed it!!!!
It was late August. I had to take Engines Dunn down there for a pint or 3 as he had done me some more favours.

Morgana also has experienced this weekend event.

If not, go to Queens Head, its the best beer in town now.
