Sadly absent again this year - clashes with a family celebration to be held on a charter yacht in Greece

Recommend it to any newbies wavering, though. If I can do it as my first Channel crossing in a 24' bilge-keeled gaffer, you can too.

I'm definitely interested but I won't be able to say until closer to the time. Although it looks like my refurb will be done in time, it will depend on my success in finding crew/ liferaft, and ultimately given our size, the weather forecast at the time.

Most go over on the Friday. Often a number end up going to various restaurants in informal groups.

I try to sail one day and one day in port etc so Friday and Sunday will be our sailing days

I will be there after all, but without Angele. Thanks to a very kind offer I'm catching the ferry over on Saturday and I'm Dom's cabin boy for the return leg.

I think that title will be mine! If the wind is favourable I might just be able to make the crossing from yarmouth in under 16 hours.
