Hi

Looking for a replacement for a circuit breaker made by ETA. Seem to be pretty expensive ($970) each.
Part number 457K60507SI2FC24240.

Any suggestions.

Best Regards

well, depends how it's failing, and if it the body can be unscrewed open to have a peak in the contactors, check condition, carefully clean and restore the contacts from arcing.
Just listing things that can be done (and have done) on 100A contactors like the ones you get on a windlass.
I guess that's the main contactor which lives next to the batteries and is remotely operated from the lower helm. Must be two of them right?
My friend's P45 one is occasionally not latching (so no power to service) a few attempts and it's usually on. So at some point I'll have a go at it (but not in a hurry as it's not in an easy spot and not so keen on bending and stretching over)

Unfortunately i have sent it for repair but no luck, and i don't seem to locate any replacement from other company.

I guess i have to go ahead and make the order with E-T-A, i wish it was cheaper ??

K,

its a 24V boat and the thing is hidden at the far end of a locker bolted on a bulkhead over the batteries. There's a key on the el. panel that you turn on this bloody big thing clangs and connects.
this battery switch you linked to feels a bit too little...

OTOH, I'm pretty sure there will be other beefy switches contactors basically that can do 300A or whatever with a 24V trigger signal.

Finally i got contacted the E-T-A representative in the region, he said that he might be able to get a better deal on new or used breaks.

Am keeping my fingers cross ?

We used to fit them on Sealine 450 panels, just a high amperage standard mains breaker with a solenoid bolted on top.

I thought the main issue is that you cannot really get mains stuff for more than 60-80A and this thing is 250A or so...
Hager Schneider, ABB and that lot don't seem to have anything (unless I'm missing something)
