2 Weeks in the CI's with pics part 2

Great pics and glad you had a great summer...shame it doesn't last forever but we've had a pretty good year I spose. Did the boat treat you well?

We had her serviced and AF'd 2 weeks before the trip, never missed a beat. Consumption just over 60lph @ 22 knots. Only scare was AIS showed we had something following us but realised it had caught up with itself and it was seeing us ! Also VP depth guage gave up mid channel ie didnt register any depth, but started again about 10 miles off land...

Great pics. Would love to get to the CI but a bit of a trek for us...maybe when we have more time :)

I think thats pretty normal Andy, you often get a false bottom reading or none at all when out in the deep stuff....either organic matter or just not the correct frequency for >200ft.

I find that our transducer doesn't like it when we mash up the water when vectoring...usually at close quarters when coming alongside! Makes things more interesting :)

Thats good consumption, could you squeeze 2mpg out of is if you come down to 20mph?

We always take the Western approach, (obviously) on the way down...makes for some interesting shambles and races. We always go home via the Easter and Alderney which is probably our favourite part of our annual trip.

I am already getting excited for next May! Happy days :)
