Hi all,

I brought this boat a couple of weeks ago and i'm unable to find out the manufacturer so I can buy parts.

Does anyone recognise it from my attached picture? Any help would be greatful.

Thanks,

Craig.

It's certainly distinctive! But I'm afraid I can't help. You might get a better response from the YBW Motor Boat Chat forum, or, perhaps, Boatmad which has a lot of posters who are knowledgeable about small powerboats.

Good luck with the search!

It looks identical to an Apollo 10 speedboat a friend of mine used to have. Dont know any more about it than that though and it was quite old so i should imagine the manfacture closed a long time ago

I think it may be a "Spitfire". I bought a JCL Moonraker that had been the Earls Court show boat and they had suspended one in the davits in the same colour, sort of big boat, baby boat. I left it behind on a pontoon somewhere. I regret I don't know who built, but if I'm right it would be something like 25 years old anyway.

I had the boat repainted and when they rubbed it down it did have Spitfire 1 on the side, I just thought that it had been added by a previous owner.

Thanks John

I very much doubt there are any parts involved which you would need the manufacturer to supply. They will have bought everything in except the mouldings and those fittings won't be available like for like in all probability. Just source alternatives from any/all the normal boating and non-boating suppliers everyone uses.

What are you trying find in particular?

Rather you than me, coward that I am! Still I think a Spitfire was only about nine feet max, it certainly didn't stick out the side of the Moonraker, and was a real tight squeeze long before I became a fat git.

I was thinking more that as a teenagers boat a limit on speed might not be a bad thing. But hey, there I go being old and stuffy.
