I've got a couple of capped off hose pipes about a metre long coming from one of my KAD43's, what are they?. I've had the boat from new so it's not some previous owner mod. I'm rather hoping that it's a water intake which I can use for the A/C I'm installing (it would save taking the boat out and drilling a hole in it) but I've never heard of an intake coming off a Volvo stern drive engine. Anyone else come across anything like it. It's very difficult to see exactly where the pipes go into the engine.
It's not for the calorifier because that comes from the same engine.

I have the Kad 42 Engines which have the same blocked pipes, I am told these are for draining the engine water system.

Hope this helps

I've got the same on my KAD 32's. They are colour coded (from memory one is blue and the other green) and used to drain down the water system for winterising. If you need more info I'll check out the manual when I next go to the boat.

Hello David

They are drain pipes, one for raw water and one for antifreeze so unfortunately no good for a.c. Do ring us if you have a problem.
