1982 Princess 412

Did they only build 20 of these ? I guess there might be quite a range of values depending on engine condition and such things as whether there are any special purchasers who might want one in northwales . When does the log say it last ventured out ? There’s a nice trader parked in our marina in Gosport which hasn’t moved for a year I believe.

Put it on ebay with a reserve of what the widow wants and see how it pans out?

Solent Motor yachts had one for sale a while back…pre covid….which had been re engined with Cummins 370hp and had an interior re fit…..from memory it was up for about 55k.

Well done for helping the family….good luck with it all.

That one so

that one sounded a a bargain .

There was a nice clean P412 for sale in Northern Ireland last year with Cummins for £55k.

it was the same boat that I mentioned….came up for sale again soon after being sold.…..looked very good value considering what the re power must have cost.

A quick look at brokers listings will give you an idea of asking prices.
A fair few on the market at the moment , various versions.

Condition varies considerably from much loved turn the key boats to a lot of horribly neglected stuff that the owners really ought to have sold years ago.
Friend recently bought a 414 with pair of Volvo Pentas. Engines sound as good as the day they were installed ,the previous owner assured the buyer (on his mothers life) that everything was recently serviced , it did not stop an impeller shedding all its blades 10 minutes after launch, the alarms did not work, fortunately always wary OG popped downstairs to find the temp gauge off the scale and shut down the engine before any damage was caused.
We limped back on one engine.
Not that difficult to recover most of the impeller blades on this engine as the first stop is the oil cooler and fairly easy to get at by removing a connecting pipe.

A crimp on any asking price could be location, having personally been to look at boats in both South and N Wales recently , the distance will limit the number of folks prepared to travel.
Stuff is still selling but nice boats are gone in moments, an immaculate 42/5 on our moorings went within 24 hours.
A wander down our pontoons yesterday found two more skippers clearing out stuff off their boats a combination of health and the latest fuel costs being the deciding factor, both long term owners and boaters.
Further rumours of a Sealine F36 being up for for sale simply due the fact of fuel and the chap thinks he can achieve 20K on top of what he paid for it 2 years ago.
We live in interesting times ?
