1978 Johnson 25HP made in Belgium

Hi Fella's me again, my numbers are model No: 25 BA780 and the serial NO: is B 18035, I am looking for a starter motor bracket for this outboard if anyone can help where i might find one please, I have an 18HP bracket roughly from the same period but for some reason it is ever so slightly out of place, any help is welcome thanks Jay Jay
 
Johnson Outboards from 1978 tended to have model numbers more like: 25EL78C, so I cannot nail your one down.

FWIW, the part number for a 78 25hp Johnson's starter motor bracket is 0320012

Hi, I am ever so sorry it's no wonder I could not find it the model No: 25BA78C

That one isn't listed on my info here, but that may be because it was Belgium made. As far as I know, the starter bracket is the same across all 20,25,30 and 35hp models that use the 521cc motor from circa 1978.

I'm pretty sure that I have one of those brackets. I can't look today, but could have a rummage over the next few days if you tell me you are interested. Send me a PM

25BA78 is a perfectly valid model number ( 25BAL78 is the long shaft version ( C is a production suffix)

You will find it in the official list at http://shop.evinrude.com/media/document/ModelNumberReference.pdf

The original part number, 0320012, has been replaced by 0333929

The part I have has the part number 331210. From what I can see, this has become 333929 and the part looks identical to the one in Vics picture above. It also seems to cross reference with part number 320012, which was also mentioned above. It has a couple of extra stainless bracket on that are not shown in the picture above, I think one is for the solenoid, the other is for the throttle linkage, and it also has the bolt that adjusts the throttle or advance stop. I'll try and upload a pic or two.
