Can anyone please help, the motor is very hard to pull if I take the plugs out it is far easier to pull but still not as easy as it should, any advice welcome

No I have it in neutral, I have had the boat from a friend and it has been sat for a while but it turns over and as I said more freely when the spark plugs are out but still not as free as it should, should I take the plugs out and spray WD40 or something like that into the chamber and leave it for a while

I will do in the morning but I think there's compression by the way it changes when I take the plugs out

I think it might need stripping down by someone who knows what they are doing, i'm quite savvy but I think I will leave that to someone else

If it is stiff to turn without plugs there must be friction somewhere. Could a dry water pump impeller cause that?
