I wondered about posting this in WANTED but we had to sell our boat last year when my wife became ill and now after chemo and an operation she finds it very difficult to eat and drink but I managed to cadge two bottles of 1664 blanc which have made swallowing very much easier but it is no longer on sale in the UK so is there anyone in France coming home soon to anywhere from Portsmouth to Poole or anyone planning a trip across the Channel soon who would be prepared to buy 24 bottles of 1664 blanc for me, please? That will give me time to make a car trip across and bring back a boot full.

If they can’t help, and I suspect they will, the Cherbourg flotilla will do everything we can to source in France in almost exactly a month’s time. However, please pm me in the meantime if you get no joy from the above link.

When I was in my 20s I got tonsillitis and the only thing I could cope with was Heinz Vichysoisse soup. I doubt if it is available but I offer it as a general suggestion.
 
No promises at this stage but there is a fair chance that we will be in Cherbourg some time this weekend. Returning to Fareham on Monday or Tuesday. If we make it to Carrefour I will try and pick up a case for you. Post on here or PM me if you find another source.

The hunt is on. Arrived in Cherbourg yesterday evening. The big Carrefour is shut today and the little one doesn't stock it. But we're off to do some serious shopping in the morning. Planning to cross back on Tuesday. Will keep you posted.

Careful the "1664 Blanc" (correct adjective would have been "blanche" but hey, marketing..) comes in two types both with alcohol and without, "sans alcol", the packaging is very similar.
