12v generator only pushing out 5 volts

I have this handy honda 12v genny and all of a sudden is only delivering 5 v even with a load on the terminals ,could it be diodes as it is basicallly an alternator.

Blown regulator ..... take it to Electrical specialist and have it checked ...

Same happened on my boat engines Alternator ... £20 later all well with new diodes in the back end of alt.
