Yes. Can't remember the model number but it's a Sony with CD/mp3 disc player, front minijack input and an Ipod input via an external box and cable, as supplied by Halfords about 2 years ago. It takes 0.6 amps on radio and adds about 0.1 amp when the disc drive is running. With the unit switched off the permanent 12 v supply takes nearly nothing, about 0.1 A AFAIR.

Sounds like there could be a fault on yours?

Hmm... maybe, ebay purchase

At risk of stating the obvious, if there isn't a permanent 12v feed, with some car radios (from a scrappie, maybe) you will need to enter the code whenever you switch on.

Aldi

Can anyone with one of the Aldi or lidl radios say whether they work on LW, I want to buy a cheapo but wouldn't consider one which doesn't get the weather forecasts or cricket!

Mine does. But it's 3 years old now; the later Tevion/Aldi models may be different. Try the manufacturers web site.

Also it gets a fair amount of interference from the depth transducer on LW which can be a bit of a pain.

Quite a lot accept input using an USB A. Clarion do in fact a "Marine" radio which does all you require except digital reception.

I know of no radio which combines digital and analogue reception.

Got a Blaupunkt in Lottie Lotus that does exactly that, but not so many of the other things the OP wants.

Can anyone recommend suitable speakers which dont require a hole cutting in woodwork to mount?
