£89 Lenovo tablet and VMH charts a great success

I have just spent three damp days sailing up Loch Etive and Loch Creran. I used the Argos refurbished Lenovo tablet suggested on here

I knew where I was all the time and it added to my sailing pleasure

some reflections from the screen but under the spray hood it is easy to see, on the quarter berth by the hatch is also a good place - wearing a dark top helps a bit as well

battery llife is great

all round v chuffed

As it was i that recommended the Lenovo and VMH charts, i'm really pleased to hear you're happy with it Dylan.

Was out with mine yesterday and like you i found under the sprayhood a good place for visibility.

it did take a while to set up - the antares charts open well straight from the same interface as well

all round they greatly added to my enjoyment of this fabulous sailing area

I think we should nominate Bob of Antares charts for a knighthood for services to west coast sailors & rockhoppers. What an amazing effort he has done producing his charts. Better than some self serving political wonk getting a gong.

It came from a truckers supply website I beleive

it is a 12 volt plug that splits into two x 12 volt sockets, two usb sockets, some nice leds that tell you when the battery is going flat and a simple plug in voltage meter.

Only if you buy a single region chart. If you buy full UK coverage it's about the same.
