About time. That side of the IoW could do with a cruising destination apart from bringing revenue to the area. You only have to look at Cowes and Yarmouth to see what we boaters can do for the local economy. Lets hope they make a better job of it than Ryde and build a marina with a bit of water in it and LW

I have to say that I'm surprised that more places around the coast haven't come up with the new marina idea. In a country that is now producing less and less major industrial items, the leisure boating fratenity would seem to be a good target for employment, as we are expanding all the time.

I seem to remember somewhere in Wales that has recently turned down a marina - am I right? I think it got coverage in the boating press at the time.
