Trying to remove injector on Volvo 2001. Have disconnected banjos and removed single retaining nut. Advice seems to be it is just hard work from here to break seal. Have "worked hard" but made no progress. Any advice on best way to continue? Many thanks.
PVB: Just wgat I needed and couldn't find - thanks.
Jcor...:Point well-taken - thanks.
BAV34: Another valuable point - thanks
Phil S. . .:And another - thanks.
Guys, I really appreciate your responses. Almost feel the job is already half-done!
I have a small water drip from the back of the water pump ie not the cover. As this is the oil side/waterside interface I want to change the seal. Searched unsuccessfully for instructions on-line.
Could anyone give me simple directions as to how to complete the task? The on-line Volvo Owner's...
Always cautious about recommending like this but I have used David Brooks (Gascheck Marine) and was very satisfied. Would not hesitate to use him again.
Having just made-up 2 KJ Howell's kit gratings and being quite delighted with the result I would vouch for them. I am no carpenter and approached the project with some trepidation. In practice I found the kits excellent, the construction very straightforward and the company very pleasant to deal...
Many thanks all for useful thoughts. I had originally dismissed the plastic folder option - too many pages. Ideally I would carry 402 of the 1005 pages on board when cruising but clearly these split into categories with very different usage patterns - reference through to cockpit pilotage. Think...
Apologies - just realised I posted this in SB in error - transferred here.
Has anyone sourced a D ring binder with 3 rings to match the punched holes of the current Reed's Looseleaf Almanac? A4 or quarto fine as long as the ring mechanism matches.
Alternatively, anyone devised an alternative...
That is most useful, thank you. Your Honda EU20i is rated watts 1600 Kva2 6hp compared with B&S rated watts 2000 Kva2.5 6.5hp and your washer very comparable to mine. I don't understand the technicalities but logic suggests the B&S should therefore be man for the job.
Thank you both but questions are precise intentionally. Gen supplier is 300 miles away. Gen is required for winter maintenance ashore - no need (or desire!!!!) on board. B&S 2500 meets all other power and portability requirements. I have worked out very carefully what I want and need to...
I am about to buy a petrol generator and among other things would like to power a small power washer (Karcher 2.94 rated 1.4kW). I am trying to determine whether this has an induction motor or a universal commutator as the generator supplier warns me I shall need 2-3X the power washer's rating...
I doubt the Exe is any worse reference security (theft) than any other in the south west and probably much better than many. Tides and fetch do make it important that mooring tackle is adequate and well-maintained and an insurance company may (with reason) impose an end-October/April embargo...
