Re: I\'ve been looking at both my bottoms and... Glad to know this, and thanks. So it seems the hard stuff is best, and there I was wondering if the spoonful of chilli powder added to the soft eroding had contributed to the queue of protoplasm trying to taste.

I've been looking at both my bottoms and...

I\'ve been looking at both my bottoms and... anti-fouling on Pandora, applied in May is now festooned in marine growth. Small ply tender treated at same time is totally clear. Both on swinging mooring, but tender has hard type a-f meant for high speed craft, which it sure aint. Is there a...

    Best Fun With Your Mouth

Yeah! That sounds good, and ref kids and boats, got this report from a friend who was taking his family sailing, including two year-old child. "All went well, and young Davie was as well behaved as usual except when I dropped him and he was nearly drowned. What a cry-baby! Apart from that he was...

    Sticky stuff

Thanks for info so far. The stuff I have is Epiglass ht 9000. I was reading a brief article on making ply tender with stitch and tape system and epoxy filler at joints. By this latter I took it to mean a somewhat thicker gunge than simple epoxy and hardener. You're rightr, I should go to West's...

    Sticky stuff

Can someone out there please tell me how to make epoxy putty please? I have the epoxy ingredients, ie resin and hardener, but there it ends. Google laughed hollowly and provided a million websites, none of which actually answered the question, so come on, do better. Be much grateful. Thanks ps...

Need some help. How does one post interesting bits on the forum, like this pc heli steering thing I've got which will while away many a maddening moment. How can I transfer it so that I can say "Click here" in blue fonts and drive everyone barking?

    Fishing for sea bass

According to an old video on fishing for bass, you find the mackeral and drop the lure right down through them because the bass are underneath the shoal, munching away. problem is, getting through the macks.

    Something hatching

Wow! That seems like a good bunch of advice, thanks and thanks too for the warnings. I did wonder about the epoxy answer as another requirement is that of firmly fixing fittings such as latches, and maybe the foam wouldn't do that. Perhaps the small amount of epoxy at a time is good. The Pandora...

    Something hatching

Pandora forehatch cover is cracked and mended( sort of, many times I should think) As it is double skinned, can I make an opening and pour something in which would strengthen it? The shape is too convoluted to insert a solid reinforcement. Suggestions would be very welcome.

    Another sordid outboard chapter

Disenchantment with noisy outboards began after being given one on completion of Hartley Scamp,- 14ft of pure plywood, and rowed until the beast arrived. Twin cylinder John. 20 horse and weighed about the same ( Shires ie.) Trouble was, in the shed the plug leads produced sparks you could weld...
