My only concern would be what happens when your alternator is kicking out 13 or 14v to charge your batteries? I would guess (happy to be wrong!) that the transformer gave out a stabilised 12v...

May edition of PBO has a simple little article about creating your own LED bulb replacements for festoon bulbs. I'm sure similar principles could be applied to other bulb types...

Would it not be likely that thieves stealing a vessel would break into a locked cabin? In which case who is to say that they hadn't infact retrieved the keys from their safe hanging place above the chart table??

So much has changed recently at Fleetwood. Facilities are a thousand times better (like all places there is still room for improvement) including their new travel hoist which will lift just about any boat you throw at it! Security is now very good. Give them a ring and speak to Pete Smith...

The SP epoxy would appear to be half the price of the WEST stuff, unless you want the 'clear as glass' stuff in which case it's about the same. Is the WEST totally clear? Perhaps an option would be to use both in different areas and save a few quid....
