Thanks for your comments. I have had big trouble with mine and I cannot find anyone who knows anything about them. Looks like Im going to rip them out and go the Bennets route also. If there is anyone who can help out there I'll hang on a bit longer.

Hello Paul. No I have not taken the drives apart, just taken them off to replace the bellows and touch up paint and re-antifoul. Launching in Southampton, on the dry at Thruxton near Andover at present. Launch day postponed. There was hesitation getting into gear before lifting last year.
No I did not split the drives. The drives came off as usual to change the bellows. I did notice a hesitation in slipping into gear especially from stb. drive before lifting last year. I put it down to cable adjustment.

Problem solved. What could be regarded as the obvious really, in retrospect. Three cables from pot to helm, the white/red one, no continuity. No idea how or where but chuffed to find the prob. Thanks for the interest and suggestions.
