Hi All,
I have the old style Eltrim panel with a faulty Port Switch. I would happily replace it with a new Eltrim unit but as many have found out, the replacement is smaller - what where they thinking…
Have any of you successfully replaced it with some that fits the hole -about 4inches square...
Fair shout - I do not have a dimmer but my thinking is to have a go and not to throw out the old bulbs until I’ve tested.
I will post pictures when sorted ?
So the easiest to find is the feed off the gauge illumination - it is only live when the ignition is on and can be found as one of the blades off the push button switch.
Make sure you read the volts off it and compare to the battery terminal - the regulator wants to know what the battery volts...

Hi there,
I am pretty sure there is no way the leg can kick up going forward, the kick up problem is usually when the reverse catch doesn’t work.
Sounds like the clutch to me - I have over the last couple of years replaced mine on both outdrives, at around 1000 hours.

I’ve pinged them a note to see if the wiring / connectors are the same - I’ll let you know.
I’d be happy with just a simple analogue one, but not at all sure the wiring would work
